Welcome to MathMint. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you use our app.

2. Data We Collect

MathMint collects the following data to provide and improve our service:

• Game progress and statistics (levels solved, stars, streaks)
• Puzzle completion data (attempts, mistakes, time taken)
• Your gamification profile: XP, level, rank points and hint points
• A display name, which is randomly generated for you and which you can change
• An anonymous account identifier created automatically for you
• App usage patterns
• Device information (model, OS version)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Save your game progress and sync it across your devices
• Award XP, levels, rank tiers, streaks and hint points
• Show leaderboards, where your display name and score are visible to other players
• Provide a personalized gaming experience
• Improve app performance
• Fix bugs and technical issues

4. Anonymous Accounts

MathMint signs you in anonymously using Firebase Authentication. No email address, phone number or password is required, and we do not ask for your real name. The anonymous account is a random identifier that lets us save your profile and place you on the leaderboard. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, that identifier — and the progress attached to it — may be lost permanently.

5. Data Storage

Your game progress is stored locally on your device, and your gamification profile and leaderboard scores are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) so they survive a reinstall and can appear on leaderboards. If the app cannot reach Firebase, everything keeps working on-device and only the shared leaderboard is unavailable.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information. Your display name, avatar initial, level and score are visible to other players on the leaderboards — please avoid using your real name or any personal detail as your display name. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging) to run these features; their handling of data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

7. Children's Privacy

MathMint is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Because leaderboards show a display name to other players, we ask that children do not enter their real name or any other personal detail as their display name.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Change your display name at any time from the Profile tab
• Reset all local game progress from Settings
• Request deletion of your profile and leaderboard entries
• Opt-out of data collection
• Export your game progress

9. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
